Winter Climbing is an incredible experience that will want you coming back for more...

Winter routes here are worthy of the effort required, and Classic routes such as Point 5 Gully on Ben Nevis has World Class status !

 It can require a steady head, but gives an exceptional amount of freedom to roam and explore steeper terrain. 

   

 

EASY- Introduction to Winter Climbing

PREREQUISITES- Winter hillwalking . Summer Scrambling and rock climbing useful.

Guide to Client Ratio 1:2

MODERATE- More exposed ground, longer routes. 2 Technical Axes required.

IDEAS- Curved Ridge, Buachaille Etive Mor (II/III).

SC Gully, Stob Coire Nan Lochan (III).

Green Gully, Ben Nevis (IV,4).

PREREQUISITES- Experienced winter walker. Rock Climbing background.

CHALLENGING- More commiting routes,with no easy escapes.
Long , hard (But enjoyable) days.2 Technical Axes.

IDEAS- Tower Ridge, Ben Nevis (IV,3).

North Buttress, Buachaille Etive Mor (IV,4).

Point 5 Gully, Ben Nevis (V,5).

PREREQUISITES- Experience of easier winter routes. Rock climbing background. Winter Skills Course recommended.

This environment requires experience in Winter Hillwalking,including the use of Axe and Crampons, and Outdoor Rock Climbing. Having a Winter Skills Course "under your belt" is recommended.

All winter mountaineering and climbing will be led by an MIC (Mountaineering Instructor Certificate), which are qualified to guide and instruct on this terrain .

(Please note that your Personal Climbing Equipment is not included in the price of this course. Axes, boots and crampons can be hired)
