Kinlochleven Autumn Walking Festival

Magical Munros £50pp

We are hosting the guided walks for the Kinlochleven Autumn Walking Festival, with this walk scheduled as a Munro Day.
The Mamores (Next to the village) is, in our opinion, one of the best places to hill walk in the UK, often with just one big, but simple ascent, followed by easy walking at a high elevation, with classic routes like The Ring of Steall as part of the massif.
There are several mountains we can tackle, depending on the weather, and can promise a challenging, but attainable day for hill walkers (actual route decided a day or so ahead).
The route will generally be on good paths, with rocky but easy ground on the sweeping ridges.
Boots are necessary, along with the usual hill walking clothing suitable for the prevailing conditions. Walking poles are extremely useful.

We will meet outside The Auminium Story Building at 8.30am.

Kinlochleven Autumn Walking Festival

Corrour Station to Kinlocheven £45pp

This walk is a fantastic way to see the area without too much uphill!!!
It is approx. 20km with a height gain of 75m. Mostly flat on good paths. The day will start at Fort William Train Station, from where we'll catch the first train out to this remote Station (Please bring money for the one way ticket). There is a great path that leads back to Kinlochleven via a Bothy next to a Lochan, which makes for a great lunch stop.
When back at Kinlochleven, the 44 bus will take you right back to Fort William.
Older children are welcome. The usual hill walking kit will be needed, walking poles are useful.

We will meet at Fort William Train Station at 7.20am, train due to leave 7.44am (Please bring money for the fare)
