Our new Highland Winter Expedition Week is a 5 day programme open to summer hillwalkers that would like to experience or learn the delightful art of winter walking.

We have developed this itinerary as a gentle but productive start to a whole new world.

Day 2 - Winter Navigation. With the personal skills done, we can concentrate on winter specific navigation.

Day 3 - Munro day. Buachaille Etive Beag. lead by yourself, there is an option of one or two Munros.

Day 4 - Ben Nevis. A big hill, but a good exercise in map and compass work across the plateau, often in cloudy weather.

The programme will have flexibility in the order to make the best of the conditions. There may also be an opportunity to try wild winter camping.
